ABOUT ME

Jennifer Styka, MAAT, LMHC

I am a clinically licensed mental health counselor with over 25 years of experience in the field in a variety of roles, including: behavioral health advisor, residential advisor, case manager, wraparound facilitator, group facilitator, program director, therapist, and clinical director. I have worked a majority of that time with at-risk youth and their families. I have received an associate's degree in art, a bachelor's in psychology, and a master's in art therapy. My master's was a dual track program for both art therapy and clinical mental health counseling. I have special certifications in trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI). I offer individual, family, couples, and group counseling services for ages 8 through seniors. My main focus of therapy is cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy, remaining client-centered and assisting in my clients' journeys of mental wellness.

Finally, I am a daughter, wife, and mother to a loving family, and with their support, I was able to follow my dream of private practice. I love my dogs and cats, fishing, nature, travel, motorcycle rides, music, and any form of artistic expression.
